Rainforest Animal Tiles
Way back, back, back in the day (a few years ago) I used to teach a printing and glazing lesson to the tiniest of tinies- PreK. I inherited some unglazed tiles when I took my PS teaching position and struggled with what to do with them. Each week of the four-week animal unit is divided by different areas: North America, Arctic, African, and Rainforest. In a two day project we would draw, trace, print, and then glaze in a tropical animal. I gave them four choices: chameleon, toucan, ring-tailed lemur, and poison dart frog. We’ve hit that time of year and I was hit with a wave of nostalgia while figuring out some new animal projects. How adorable are they? Maybe they’ll make a comeback next year. Hmm…
