Toilet Paper Roll Christmas Tree

This is one of my prized possessions and I made it in 1988 at the Daycare/Preschool I attended. From toilet rolls, foil, wire, paper clips, and mini glass ornaments, a beautiful silver tree was made. It's been squished from several moves but it is just as delightful as the day I brought it home! 

It takes two small sheets of foil to cover each piece of toilet roll tube. A hole is poked through so that a small ornament can be hung. Once a dozen have been made then they can be clipped together using paper clips. The shame is that you can't buy these small glass ornaments anymore. Everything is plastic with a small loop. Part of the charm of this tree are the dents and rips and patina of time. Happy making!
