Art Party: Bright Initials!

I have been asked to host a few birthday parties over the years. This may have been my favorite art-making party yet! The girls in this group started with their initial. These are those small cardboard paper mache letters from the craft store. I had a beautiful palette of acrylic paints available.

I set up a table with a variety of acrylic paints and let the girls have at it. Most chose to keep it simple with one color but some opted to paint stripes or blocks of colors. You can see the inside of the “D” is pink versus the blue exterior. Brilliant! We let these beauties dry and had some play and snack time. When our break was over we came back and added poms, gems, glitter glue, and sequins. I love a good art party!
