Vintage Valentine's Day Decor

When I was looking to buy my first home, I was in the market for something with age and charm. I definitely found it in my 79 year old Post-War Cottage. It's turned out to be a great place to mix my love of modern and vintage design. The house is small but full of wonderful details like glass door knobs, a half-moon door, hardwood flooring, and large windows. It really is lovely, light, and spacious.

KNAPPA pendant lamp from IKEA hangs in the dining room and a 50+ year old light fixture that came out of the house my Dad grew up in is in the kitchen. They both work so well here! So, I'm always on the hunt for little fun, vintage details. Cut to a yard sale in 2013 and I found this gem- an American Greetings honeycomb table decoration. It was 35 cents in it's original paper package! WHAT?! I love bringing it out for the holiday and it's pretty amazing. Look at those mod grey-haired cherubs! And, one of the best parts, you tie it with string! String! I just love this. Do you have a special way of incorporating vintage details into your living space?
